Bedford Academy's co ed junior high program began in September 2005. This grade level extension coincided with the completion of the Academy Hall gymnasium and South Wing of classrooms. A key aspect of this new phase was the introduction of the Academy Edge Technology curriculum. This program featured a wireless classroom environment throughout the school building and each student was provided with a Dell personal laptop computer.
Other components of the junior high program include:
- Maximum class size of 20 students with an enriched junior high curriculum.
- A wireless Dell laptop computer for each student.
- Enhanced French instruction.
- Outstanding extra-curricular activities including, athletics, music and fine arts.
- Dynamic student leadership and character development.
